One of the underground’s most requested remixers and head of the Clarisse Records label, the ever-ready Mendo has well over a 100 tracks to his name released over a 15 year period and has stamped his style across some of the best electronic music labels going Saved, Defected, 8bit, Noir Music, Terminal M, Get Physical, Suara, Viva Music, Rekids, Great Stuff, CR2, Material, Tronic, Circus Recordings and Cadenza, of course, have all taken delivery of high points from the four-deck specialist.
A spinner since the age of 15 and the holder of a quintessential ‘music is life’ philosophy – this after inauspicious childhood inspiration was provided by acid house, new beat and anthems such as Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’ - Mendo’s career from this point forward has thrived on the excitement “to produce a song, then play it in front of thousands of people and make them hysterical.”
Certified smashes ‘Everybody I Got Him’, ‘Gringo’, ‘Aventuras’ and ‘Inocencia’, which won the Vicious Music Award for Best Release in 2011, has meant plentiful praise ever since George Morel helped the Swiss high roller pick the lock to the studio. Peers such as Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Luciano and Carl Cox are part of the Mendo fanclub. His modifications for artists and label owners Steve Lawler, DJ Sneak, Nina Kraviz, Deadmau5, Yousef and Hot Since 82, mean his remix rating is unassailable.
A mainstay when it comes to traversing international dancefloors, Mendo has lit up the twin titans of Pacha and Ushuaia in Ibiza, and descended on Tokyo’s Womb, Berlin’s Panoramabar, NYC’s Cielo and D-Edge in Sao Paulo to make major cross-continental impact. Normally fully booked for festival season as well, Mendo is up to his armpits in wristbands, having chalked up appearances at Spain’s Monegros Desert Festival, Hungary’s Balaton Sound and B My Lake, New York’s Electric Zoo, Budapest’s Cinematine, the Lovin Ibiza Festival at Space Ibiza, and Croatia’s Beachattack. He adds the not unreasonable train of thought that “the key to a successful party is to get girls dancing; once they dance, everybody does.”
His Clarisse label has been dropping heat and upping antes since 2003, set up with right-hand man, previous remix target and Club Science co-member Chab. Flourishing into a sureshot imprint stocking club class from Yvan Genkins, Oxia, Jay Lumen, Audiojack, Danny Serrano, Ross Evans to name a few and plenty of Mendo himself, the expansion into hosting Clarisse Nights across Europe now features a diamond dozen of in-house, in-demand DJs. 2013 was when Mendo’s ‘Avalon’ LP became the label’s centerpiece. After a careful period beforehand of revision and reconstruction, it received rapturous support, alluding to the album positioning clubbers “at a beach bar drinking cocktails at sunset.”
2014 saw Mendo up his game even further. While no stranger to success, a residency in Blue Marlin Ibiza, remixing Monika Kruse's 'Summer Drops' or Damian Lazarus 'Lovers Eyes' released on his own label Crosstown Rebels, July this year saw an unprecedented four Mendo tracks chart simultaneously in Beatport’s Top 100, with his remix of Hunzed & Harvey’s ‘Sheeta’, reaching #6 which earns him to be #35 all-time most charted artist on Resident Advisor.
The dictionary definition of ‘mendo’ is a type of mythological spirit or demon. When it comes to house music, Mendo only deals in actual fact.
Coming soon a remix of The Scumfrog 'Send Wave' on Knee Deep in Sound (Hot Since 82's label), the 'What You Say EP' produced with his sparring partner Yvan Genkins and including a remix from Jay Lumen to be released on Clarisse Records, a remix of Joeski's 'Its All The Same' made also with Yvan Genkins, on Kinetika Records & the track 'Frequency' with Danny Serrano soon on 8bit.
Autumn 2014 he joined The Bullitt Agency for bookings in North,Central & South America and in Eastern Europe.

Uncompromising, unique, and completely unimpressed by fads and fashion: the fresh and multi-facetted sound of Basti Grub´s productions resonates innovation based on curiosity and an open-minded approach to music, life, everything--and beyond! Whether it´s lengthy, introverted and relaxed piano passages, or the novelty sound of the hang instrument, animal samples from the country side, exotic drums, interesting use of voices and song structures, or just plain fat tech house sound, Grub, who was born in Frankfurt, makes it unpredictable what´s next, and never limits himself by thinking in conventional terms.
From a very early age onwards, it became clear that Basti´s fascination with music would take centre stage in his life. The roots: reggae music, a Roland MC 303, turntables, and life-changing trips to Omen, Stammheim, U60311, and Robert Jonson which would lay the foundation to Grub´s concept of club-orientated sound. It was just a question of time until the Frankfurter started to promote his own events, and his regular work as club DJ would serve him as a solid base in the studio. Crucial in his innocent, self-centered search was his essential quest to find the perfect drums, a benchmark sound which was omnipresent in Grubs productions from the very beginnings. It was down to his friend Brian Sanhaji that the results of Basti´s experiments saw the day of light, and by being supported by his mentor, Basti was able to to find his own sound: a fluid and thought-through mixture of grooving minimal techno and African vocals, swing, ethnic sounds, and the typical Grub-esque drums, his trademarks-to-be, making up the core of his essence. Not ready to compromise in any way, Basti soon felt the necessity to call into life his own imprint as his sound would stand out in the way-toohomogeneous club landscape dominated by normative music. Thought as an outlet for Grub´s own productions, Höhenregler, founded in 2007 and dedicated to playful Africa sounds, was swiftly followed up by the sub label Geregelt, a tribute to swing music combined with dub sounds.
Both labels were picked up by the Discomania distribution after a few releases, which instantly resulted in growing recognition. Not only Basti was getting well-known around the globe, his tracks also got picked up by acclaimed artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, and Luciano as well as other top players. This was the definite turning point in Grub´s career. Merkesdir, founded in 2008, would add on to the spectrum, giving path to the floor-orientated ``jungle house party`` sound. In 2009, Grub celebrates another huge breakthrough moment with one of his tracks on Matthew Dear´s ``Bodylanguage Vol. 7`` mix album, and him releasing his first album ``Dschungelorchester``, a true pinnacle. His debut, released twice in two different versions, is ram-packed with those varied and crazy tracks full of humor and exuberance Grub is so famous for, and becomes an instant success. Another highlight: the club bomb ``Sick``, which promptly got picked up and compiled by Sven Väth on his ``Sound of The 11th Season``.
His labels´ rosters would set the pace and its restless outputs would soon mark a tendency. Remixes for the Italoboys, The Glitz, Aldo Cadiz and many more go down really well on the dancefloor as they made a real difference with their wild- and recklessness, and his sound got noticed and signed up to labels as well-known as Desolat, Cocoon, Compost , Cr2 records , Movida, Get Physical, International Freakshow, Style Rockets, and many more, which soon resulted in even more EPs.
Then, in November 2011, he got joined by the mysterious studio force Basti And The Gang for the second time, and releases another, even more successful EP on Desolat Records, a massive record whose A-side ``Walking In My Blues`` turned out to become a huge hit while the flip broke even more boundaries and introduced the mystical sounds of the new hang instrument to the electronic music scene. It seemed like Grub found his perfect form of expression.
After years of being an exotic producer rummaging the multi-facetted club fauna by dabbling with rare sounds, styles and rhythms, he has found recognition for his forthright, joy- and playful attempt to take the seriousness out of the contemporary music scene. With funny track titles, absurd concoctions, out-of-boundary sounds and surprising combinations, he manages to make the exotic sound domestic, and the domestic cool. The second long player, about to drop at any given moment, will be evidence for this. Right now, he is also working frantically on his third album.

Born in Rostock Carlo Rütz was fascinated by the sound of music at an early stage. He was often in clubs until the early hours of the morning and found his way to electronic music. In 2001 he bought his first turntables and mixer. In the attic of his parents he built a small studio and recorded his first set with a tape recorder.
He devoted himself to the minimalist bar, which is still reflected in his subbasspressenden tracks. He started off with small performances and 2 years later performed as DJ-synonym “Jason”Wawn” in Rostock, Neubrandenburg clubs and open airs in Pütnitz. His first major highlight in his career was the Open Air “Pütnitz wakes up” in line up with known International and National artists such is Troy Pierce, Dapayk, Heartthrob and Tommy Gun. 5 years ago, Carlo started producing his own tracks, inspired by artists such as Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, Daniel Steinberg and Magda. With the “Handmade ep” supported by Alfred Heinrichs he released the first time on his homebase-label „Supdub“. More releases followed till march 2013 where Carlo Ruetz has released his first album, called „Breakthrough“ on „Supdub Digitales“. The name was also its attention: Though within 24hrs after release the album crashed into the minimal beatportcharts and asserted itself on the pole-position for more than three weeks. Amongst other great productions this was the reason for an invitation for playing at Richie Hawtin´s ENTER. parties in Rummelsburg/Berlin and the legendary Space-Club in Ibiza last summer. Since this happenings Carlo Ruetz already played at several Minus-Showcases. Richie Hawtin himself counts Carlo Ruetz to the new minus-generation. The Neverdogs is a story about talent, passion and technique, which began in 2000 in Florence when Tommy Paone teamed up with Marco De Gregorio: two DJs originally from Catanzaro, who had started off playing separately in the early 90s, before forming the Neverdogs. The duo immediately demonstrated their personalities and skills, setting new music trends, conquering residencies in some of the most famous Italian clubs like Tenax in Florence, Cocoricò in Rimini and Docshow in Bologna, a club where the duo regularly return. Four years later the musician Davide Ruberto joined them and the Neverdogs were ready to build a respected reputation from DJs to producers in the electronic/dance circuit.
In the winter of 2005 they gained residency at the Egg in London, where they still frequently perform as guests. In the summer of the same year and the one that followed, the Neverdogs were in the spotlight of a huge audience in Ibiza, the hottest and most demanding location in the electronic world scene, where they were invited to perform in exclusive clubs such as Privilege, Space, Zoo Project and Underground.
Over the years it’s been the Neverdogs’ natural talent, sexy sound and dynamics which have consecrated them as a point of reference in the underground scene, transforming them into authentic exponents in the music industry. Moreover, they proved themselves to be absolute protagonists in some of the most highly anticipated musical events in Italy and abroad, in cities like London, Miami and Punta del Este in Uruguay, allowing them to become an integral part of the most exclusive establishments around the globe, playing alongside big names such as Loco Dice, Behrouz, Dan Ghenacia, Shonky, Audiofly, Luna City Express and many more. Even the prime productions of the Neverdogs were successful, gaining respect and admiration from high calibre stars like Satoshi Tomie, Pascal Feos and Steve Lawler, appearing on some of the most important labels of that period such as Global Underground, as well as being included in important playlists; like that of Richie Hawtin, Timo Mass and Bushwacka!
In 2012 the style of the Neverdogs continued to amaze Europe and South America, thanks to their performances on tour alongside stars like Craig Richards at the Tenax in Florence or at Move On Festival in Uruguay. During that summer they were guests at Ushuia and even became stars of Marco Carola’s Music On project at the famous Amnesia, in Ibiza.
The Neverdogs have never stopped performing and in 2013 they were resident at the famous Vanilla Ninja in Moscow, as well as giving a rocking performance at the Miami Winter Music Conference with Music On at Nikki Beach. The duo was also chosen to perform at numerous exclusive private parties, for example at Naomi Cambell’s partner’s birthday party in Jodhpur in India, where they shared the stage with international stars like Diana Ross, Jamiroquai, Billy Idol and Brian Ferry. In the summer of the same year they were signed up for the second time as an integral part of the most famous events in Ibiza, Marco Carola’s Music On at Amnesia. So what was missing to conclude this unforgettable season? The closing party and the special new year opening of Amnesia alongside Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Marc Antona, Pan-Pot and Mar-T.
2014 opened in the vibrant Mexican setting of Mamita’s Beach Club with a special performance at the BPM Festival for Music On, alongside Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati, without forgetting the exclusive closing party of the Festival, reserved for promoters and artists from all over the world. In February the Neverdogs did a stint in Brazil, first as special guests at the Music Week Festival in Florianapolis, where they played with Andrew Grant (DC10) twice, then as performers at the renowned D-Edge Club in Sao Paolo, one of the most famous underground clubs in the world. On their return to Europe they received a really warm welcome back, while on tour between Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom at the inescapable Music On party In London. They have had a lot of satisfaction over these years, for example when they got re-signed at the BPM Festival, with a show at Santanera di Playa Del Carmen in Mexico, which will stay in the memories and the hearts of many. Even in this edition of the Festival the Neverdogs performed at the official closing after party, sharing the jungle set stage with Marco Carola, Hector, Richie Ahmed, WaFF. The winter Music On appointment could not be missed in the English capital at the renowned Koko, alongside Marco Carola and LocoDice, followed by the official after party, the Fire.
A new enthusiastic chapter in the story of the Neverdogs is about to be written in 2015 and the summer of 2015 is amongst the most awaited for by fans of the Techno scene: the duo will next be on stage as guests in sensational locations like The End in Colombia, Blue Marlin in the Arab Emirates, Moan ShowCase at the famous Sonar Festival in Barcellona and the 18Hours Festival in Amsterdam. However, the Neverdogs continue to amaze their fans and for this reason they will be resident for the fourth time at Music On, the most famous party held on Fridays at Amnesia in Ibiza, as well as being one of the names of the Music On tour.

Born in Santiago, Chile, Andre Butano originally came from the world of gastronomy. As we all know, the worlds of food and music are tightly intertwined. This meant that, as he was working as a chef for some of Santiago’s finest restaurants he began cultivating a deep love for music and sound.
Initially inspired by artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Orbital and Kraftwerk, his palate quickly evolved. Now Andre admires producers like Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Kevin Jost, Brett Johnson, and Dj Sneak among many others.
Butano quickly established himself as a talent of Chile’s underground house scene. His style was very much appreciated as his sets were always directed towards groovy house and tech-house sounds, supported by uplifting percussions and organic melodies. The trademark that made him famous was the use of his own vocal tracks recorded specifically for each occasion. These would often comment on specific things unique to Chile’s scene and were very popular amongst club-goers.
His productions have been released all over the world on labels such as Cadenza , Kling Klong, 8Bit, Brise, Amam, Robsoul, , Trapez , Bla Bla, Resopal ,Ama , Cyclic for name a few and by Chilean labels like Drumma and Melisma . JUST2 continued to focus on his production skills and decided to take the studio job full on --- and full time, making him able to release crisp clear productions, all of which are created to mark his place into the heart of dance music lovers worldwide. 2011 was the begining of a new story for him, when he started up a label together with his good friend Luca M, called Get Funky Music. As A&R for his label he managed to sign some of the biggest names in the industry, like Tube&Berger, Mario Ochoa, David Herrero, Hollen, Oscar Aguillera or Siwell besides regular remixes and releases from himself. As DJ, he managed to kill the crowds every single time he were behind the decks, with mind-blowing sets which, at times, were as long as 6 hours. Great things are to expect from JUST2, which are already establishing himself as remarcable names in the music industry, making JUST2 a project worth watching throughout the years!
The dance scene in Romania has a growing reputation as a thriving source of talented DJs and producers who are creating their own interpretations of the electronic music blueprint. One of the most talked about names to emerge recently is Luca M who has an impressive series of productions to his name already as well as increasing demand for his DJ skills. 2013 looks set to be the year when Luca steps into the spotlight in a major way. Luca Madalin-Alexandru, to use his full name, has had a passion for electronic music from an early age. By the time he was 15, this passion had transformed itself into his first attempts at making music, a skill he quickly mastered. At this stage he had no thoughts about becoming a DJ, but as support for his productions grew, it was the logical next step. It quickly turned into something Luca loved just as much as making music. Luca acquired his production skills through patience and determination starting with the most basic of equipment. At times it was a steep learning curve, but as his confidence and technique grew, he began to forge his own distinctive style. Beginning in 2008 with releases on local Romanian labels such as Sintope Digital, and Italian labels like Italo Business and 303Lovers, it wasn’t long before more established imprints began requesting tracks. Significant releases include ‘Grumpli’ on Starlight Unlimited, ‘Pufarine’ on Area Remote, ‘Habarnam’ on Cr2, ‘Alinare’ on Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC, ‘Peak Week’ in collaboration with JUST2 on Kittball, and the ‘Principe’ EP on Carlo Lio’s Rawthentic Music. ‘Melilla’ was included on ‘Defected in the House: Miami ‘11’ mixed by DJ Chus and David Penn. In fact, Luca’s output has been nothing short of prolific with tracks and remixes across a wide selection of labels. He has also found time to launch his own label, Get Funky Music, in collaboration with Romanian duo JUST2. So what exactly gives a Luca M track its special quality? It ’s a dynamic combination of energy and groove underpinned by a funk-fuelled bassline. This is tech house in the true sense, and the secret behind his popularity with other DJs and clubbers from dedicated house heads through to techno connoisseurs. A good time is guaranteed when Luca is on the decks. “As a DJ and producer, ``he explains, “when you see people enjoying your music, you can say mission accomplished! The mission is to make people happy. It’s the most beautiful feeling, and makes me stronger and more committed to finding a way to make my music even better.”

Reinier Zonneveld is a dutch producer and musician. He's just as comfortable with producing electronic music as he is with writing classical pieces. These skills shine through in his productions, which can be almost orchestral at times. He doesn't want to get stuck in boundaries of one specific genre, so you might take your time to check what is on offer in his big release catalogue. From ambient to melodic techno and from minimal to warehouse pounding techno.. It's all there. Currently signed to labels like Traum Schallplatten, Deeperfect, MBF and Trapez, his musical future is promising. His productions received massive support from world class artists around the globe, including Slam, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, John Digweed, Armin van Buuren, Tocadisco, Karotte, Pig & Dan, Mark Knight, Gary Beck, Secret Cinema, Oliver Schories, Marco Carola, 2000 and One, Roberto Capuano, Swedish House Mafia, Manic Brothers, Funkagenda, Marco Bailey and many, many more. Maybe it's better to ask which DJ hasn't got some of his tracks in their arsenal. Soon his second album will be released. Expect emotional and multi-dimensional music transcending the boundaries of genres. He works together with great vocalists Simone White and Alice Phoebe Lou to give a new edge on these tracks. Acoustic recordings get twisted or put in a new context by resampling pieces on piano he wrote and played himself specially for these productions. Be sure to follow Reinier Zonneveld because he's certain to produce exciting and fresh music for everyone who wants to hear it!
