A few months back our boy Leonardo Gonnelli teamed up with up and coming duo Jesters to deliver the Matanomo EP on Deeperfect. The release was a huge success in the charts, and on the dancefloor, so the guys have got together again to deliver their next collaboration, ‘Bad Hola’. These guys are representing the cream of the crop from the scene in Florence, and we are delighted to have them back on Deeperfect for their triumphant follow up EP.
Getting things off to a babnging start is the title track ‘Bad Hola’. Here we are treated to a banging backbeat which fuses vintage drums and organic, tribal percussion to create a crunchy, textural groove which rushes on atop a deep sub bass. The star of the show here is a squelchy analogue synth sequence which is expertly manipulated and effect to evolve and develop across the track.
The second and final track here is titled ‘Revolution’. This time Leonardo Gonnelli and Jesters have taken the path of delivering a big chunky tech house club weapon. A tough beat is joined by a catchy vocal shout, unique synth programing and expertly crafted effects to create a rolling club killer. This record swaggers on in with so much groove and bravado, it is a sure bet to turn any party into a booty shaking rave!
